Resonata Nero D'Avola 2013Known as the "Most Important red wine grape in all of Sicily," the Nero D'Avola grape is named after the Avola wine-growing region of its homeland. Why they named it after Rome's infamous emperor/arsonist is beyond me.
Smell: just plain bad. Too spicy and fruity for both to work together.
Taste: The berry comes out a little bit, but the sourness covers it up. Pair it with delicate meats, otherwise forget it.
